Global Account Manager – Automotive

In this position you will be responsible for advancing the company’s vision and strategic planning for multiple programs in the automotive and transportation markets. Maintain senior level relationships with customers and suppliers and leverage both for the benefits of Global Accounts. Act as advisor and provide feedback to senior leaders concerning current trends and future plans for the various programs. Negotiate comprehensive deals and is responsible for the financial health of the programs.

Job Description

  • Strong negotiation skills – able to open and close a complex supply chain engagement; know the concept of “value selling”; negotiate pricing strategies based on “value”, not cost; knowing what falls “in and out of scope”; able to proactively figure out what customer issues/problems we want to pursue/solve
  • Understand our major suppliers and their respective technologies, as well as what are WPG Holdings commodity solutions/offerings. Proven ability to cultivate, sustain, and broaden influential relationships with customers and suppliers at the most senior levels. These would include CEO, COO, VP Supply Chain, VP Procurement, VP Sales, VP Finance and VP Manufacturing, VP Operations
  • Leverage strong supplier relationships. Able to influence the suppliers to understand WPG’s supply chain capabilities to drive TAM to DTAM opportunities.  Understanding of both leading edge as well as customer global and regional end markets (e.g., communications, service sector, industrial controls, automotive etc.)
  • Manage program P&L metrics and adjust accordingly to improve profitability of the programs
  • Works cohesively with the Global Operations team to deliver customer strategies and achievement of the plan
  • Ensure that long range tactical sales initiatives are implemented, strategic sales initiatives are appropriately communicated and linked to all applicable functional departments and that the required support is provided
  • Accountable for the planning, growth and financial success of assigned programs. Key measurements include Sales revenue (on a double count basis), program wins, and year over year growth

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience of 10 years sales or general management experience

Field Sales Representative

In this position you will be responsible for solution selling of technology products and services to customers that design, manufacture or purchase in the OEM market as well as Electronic Manufacturing Service space. Develop relationships in existing account base and generate new customers through account development to expand the reach of WPG Americas as a distributor. Work with inside sales team, applications engineers, and supplier partners to generate sales growth, enhance gross profit and secure new designs.

In this position you will focus on technology segments and will be responsible for establishing key customers, developing a solid understanding of the customers’ end systems and market position. Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist

In this position you will be responsible for purchasing, product flow, and inventory management in order to maximize customer and supplier satisfaction at the most efficient cost.
