Field Sales Representative

In this role you will be responsible for solution selling of technology products and services to customers that design, manufacture or purchase in the OEM market as well as Electronic Manufacturing Service space. Develop relationships in existing account base and generate new customers through account development to expand the reach of WPG Americas as a distributor. Work with inside sales team, applications engineers, and supplier partners to generate sales growth, enhance gross profit and secure new designs.

Job Description

  • Uses basic knowledge of product line cards matching product offerings/solutions to customer needs
  • Engages at various levels in customer decision making chain (Purchasing, Engineering, Materials, Finance, Management)
  • Develops basic customer business plans to meet annual sales and GP$ budgets for accounts including:
    business analysis, competitive landscape, ROI measurement, challenges and obstacles
  • Coordinate quoting, booking and tracking business to other geographic regions, including North America and abroad
  • Plans, coordinates and presents regular business review for key accounts with management team
  • Prioritize customers and opportunities with greatest potential for success

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of business-to-business sales experience
  • Technical knowledge and experience in the Montreal marketplace is desired.
  • Electronics distribution experience preferred
  • Proven record of sales growth and performance in competitive business environment
  • Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • Technical degree and/or certificates desired but not required
  • Demonstrate ability to drive strong Supplier relationships
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Broad understanding of customer qualification and account development skills and process
  • PC proficiency in the MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point)  Ability to develop network and ability to utilize network for potential sales
  • Experience with CRM tools and account profiling a plus

Regional Business Development Specialist – Lighting and Power

In this role you will focus on Lighting and Power and will be responsible for establishing key customers, developing a solid understanding of the customers’ end systems and market position.  Understanding product desires, communicating the customers’ present and future design challenges, presenting business proposals as well as value proposition and system solutions for the responsible market segment.  This role combines business development and selling professional services. The right person will enjoy working with diverse people, problem solving, and constant challenges.

Regional Technical Manager – AI, Memory, Embedded and FPGA

In this position you will focus on technology segments and will be responsible for establishing key customers, developing a solid understanding of the customers’ end systems and market position. Understanding product desires, communicating the customers’ present and future design challenges, presenting business proposals as well as value proposition and system solutions for the responsible market segment. This role has regional responsibility and combines business development at existing customers, new customer acquisition and the development and deployment of technical marketing programs. The right person will enjoy working with diverse people, problem solving, and constant challenges.
